There is currently a lot going on in the district administration office: relocations, conversions and cosmetic repairs, district administrator tamara bischof has now obtained an overview of the current work, according to a press release.
Rough project is the old poststrabe 10, the monument in verlangerung of the veterinary and school office. A few weeks ago, the buror rooms on the first floor were completed and the first food monitoring staff were able to move back into the district administration office. In the meantime, they were housed in rented offices in the neighborhood. Now they were allowed to work in the special atmosphere of a monument: with an imposing exposed and, above all, beams running through the entire basement, mullioned windows with deep window sills, and on the upper floor the log parlor from the middle ages and a roof truss from the 15th century. Century.
The upper floor is currently still a construction site; by the end of the year, the plan is to have all the relocations completed. It has not yet been decided who will be housed in the rooms, but the use of the log room is already certain: it will be a meeting room with modern media technology. 730,000 euros have been budgeted for the alte poststrabe 10, 50,000 euros are expected to come from demand funds (unterfrankische kulturstiftung des bezirks, landesamt fur denkmalpflege and bayerische landesstiftung). At the open day of the monument on 9. September interested people have the opportunity to take a look inside, according to the notice.
In addition, the district administrator took a look at the foreigners’ office: there, walls were removed and a waiting area was created. The once rather gloomy hallway now looks much more inviting. The ladies’ toilets in the main meeting room are also currently undergoing minor repairs to keep them in good condition.
