With a reception in the basement of the district administration office, the kitzingen district youth association (KJR) concluded the 2017 event year and at the same time opened the youth work in the new year 2018.
In her review, district chairwoman alexandra rugamer told guests from the worlds of politics, business, sponsors, associations, clubs, members and employees that 2017 had been an eventful year, with leisure activities and individual projects.
Trips and camps
With images, rugamer recalled a series of essential events between trips, camps and different offers for girls and boys.
The traditional tent camp at the hutzelmuhle under the motto "with vikings on the high seas" was one of the most successful events ever with more than 50 participants.
The fourth tour de mull proved to be the biggest event of the year. The county-wide environmental campaign was very well received. With 150 groups and over 3000 participants, a new record was set. Schools, associations, kindergartens, youth clubs and many others participated. The aim of the campaign is to clear the fields of debris and to raise young people's awareness of the environment. It will take place again in 2018.
150 young people participated
Managing director rebecca haupt explained, the 15 or so events were accompanied by an equal number of supervisors. A total of about 150 young people from all over the district took part in the events.
For the administration, especially the preparation of the many offers meant an immense amount of work. At the end of the summer vacations, the first thing to do is to collect topics and finally decide which offer is feasible. The lead time until the start of the events is about half a year.
Rugamer presented the youth leader cards (juleika) to the youth leaders in attendance. Their program again includes numerous training courses for youth leaders, seminars, courses and working meetings in the district.
The new year's reception was accompanied by Steffen Zeller from the marktbreit music school.
